1962 Porsche 356 Karmann Hardtop
Seller's description
The 356 was Porsche's first serial car. It was introduced on the market in 1948 and initially featured a lot of components from the VW Beetle. Over the years the model underwent permanent improvement, the first major change was in 1955 when the 356A was introduced, as well as with the introduction of the 356B in 1959. Based on this model, the Notchback version offered here was available. It is a design mix with elements from both the convertible and the coupe. While the Notchback based on the 356A had a body produced as a convertible with a firmly mounted steel roof, the construction of a 356B was an independent one from the beginning on.
This Porsche 356B Notchback auctioned here has a Porsche birth certificate, a general inspection valid until November 2016, as well as a certificate according to §23 StVZO. Currently the stronger 90 hp engine is built in, which gives the car a clearly more lively driving performance. The original engine with the type number 616/1 is at hand and can be provided.
