With a production run of 640 cars over a 10 year period 1979-89, the Lagonda was a true success for Aston Martin, particularly in the all important export markets. In 1985 the original Lagonda designer, William Towns, was tasked with restyling his masterpiece and improving it’s already luxurious specification. Unveiled at the 1986 Birmingham International Motor Show the S4 car is Identifiable by its now fixed, 6 headlamp arrangement, smoother body lines, increased rear compartment and boot space, 16” alloy wheels and improved LCD, digital and bar graph instruments with voice synthesiser. This Series 4 car, of which just 105 examples were built, is both rare and attractively specified. One of the last ever built and finished in the traditional Aston Martin colour of Balmoral Green, with Tan Connolly hides clothing its sumptuous interior. Having covered just over 80,000 miles from new, this particular Lagonda has just benefitted from a complete chassis refurbishment and mechanical overhaul by accredited Aston Martin Heritage specialists and is offered for sale in superb condition. We are pleased to present one of the finest of these eclectic Lagondas, now enjoying a renewed notoriety, since the introduction of the new Lagonda Taraf, due out this year.
