1972 Ginetta G15 for sale in UK GBP14,995

Seller's description:

Four brothers looking to make fun, yet affordable sports cars launched Ginetta in 1958 in Woodbridge, Suffolk. Their early models were sold in kit form and they helped to improve their designs and styling before the G15 was launched in 1967 which was fully type approved and so for the first time allowed complete cars to be sold along with kits. The G15 comprised of a tubular chassis, clothed in a sporty glass fibre 2 seater body and was powered by a sunbeam 875cc Stiletto (Imp) engine which produced 55 bhp at 6100 rpm and ran through an all synchromesh 4 speed gearbox. As the car weighed a little over 530kg it was nippy and corned extremely well plus it could do 100 mph and return 50 mgp!!
This 1972 car is in exceptional condition having been the subject of a total rebuild in 2011 and used very little since. It was originally sold in kit form to Mr Frary of Luton, Bedfordshire, on the 15th of March 1972. The original letters from the factory and bill of sale are still with the car! The car remained with the Mr Frary right up to 2011, by which time it had completed just 20,000 miles and it was taken off the road in 1982 and spent the next 29 years in the annex of their house! The car was then purchased by Mark Dredge, who completely stripped and rebuilt it to a very high standard. This rebuild was featured in the Ginetta Owners Club magazine which shows some of the excellent work done. The current owner then acquired the car in 2013 where it was garaged and used sparingly. Now, due to further recent purchases he sadly does not has the space to keep her so she is looking for a new home.

The car is in wonderful condition both inside and out. It has a fabulous history file containing the original correspondence and sale invoice from the factory, original sales brochure, owners manual, various magazine articles including the details of the rebuild on this car, a large number of invoices, HPI check, hand written service notes, current V5, MOT and tax. All in all this is a fabulous car which is huge fun to drive and would make for a great toy for the road or a classic race / hillclimb car.
