Many attractive sports cars were produced in 1960's when oil shock and the regulation to control gas emission had not appeared yet.
In Japan, the most high-performance grand tourer Toyota 2000GT was unveiled.
This is the real sports car so it is comfortable for you to drive in the city at low speed and on the expressway at high speed.
It is the most high-performance car in the world that was built by designers and engineers.
New mechanism such as Well-balanced and long nose, backbone body-on-frame construction, in-line six twin cam 2000cc engine, backbone chassis, 4DW double wish-bone suspension, 4DW disc brake, and Magnesium alloys wheel, were fitted without considering mass production. Toyota tried to improve driving performance then international standard and high-performance grand tourer made its debut. The car make it possible to race if some parts are changed.






The technology level for domestic cars were shown to the world widely when it set 3 world records and 13 new international records for high-speed, endurance trials.
This was featured by Special 20th Anniversary Issue of American Magazine "Road & Track" and it made people in the world attracted.
The body was designed to improve aerodynamics and headlights were retractable headlights for the first time in Japan.
Toyota's first DOHC 1988cc in-line 6 engine was fitted with 150PS and fully synchronized five-speed transmissions. It became high-speed and endurance car.
The independent suspension system, limited slip differentials, disc brake attached to vacuum brake booster were fitted and high-speed and safety are guaranteed.
Interior was designed to fit with mat instrument panel, high-class mahogany expandable steering wheel and leather reclining bucket sheet. So its design is best-handling from the viewpoint of Human factors and ergonomics.

We got our 2000GT on October 2014.

The former owner bought it in April 2007 and after that, the owner maintained it very much to keep driving performance.
Interior such as seats and carpet was renewed and hood insulator was changed and engine was overhauled
Body was also repainted.
Ball joint, suspension bushes, engine mount and steering mount were changed.
After engine was overhauled in 2009, some parts of mission were changed and dashboard were repaired.
In the spring of 2012, front window was changed.

At present, well-conditioned Mg wheel and wheel nut made of stainless steel for racing are fitted.
